Frequently asked questions
Diagnosis stops whenever the internet drops. What fixes it?
A second line on different infrastructure, behind a router that fails over automatically. What matters is not having the line but switching without manual intervention — otherwise the workshop stops before anyone notices.
Tablets do not work on the floor. Why is coverage weak?
Lifts, metal panel walls and open bay doors both block and leak signal. Equipment chosen for an office will not cope. It is solved by surveying and then selecting hardware and placement suited to workshop conditions.
How should we store vehicle handover photos?
A photo left on a phone is a photo you cannot find when it matters. Photos need to land in a central archive linked to the job card, with a retention period decided upfront. We set that period against how long after handover disputes actually appear — in practice longer than a few weeks.
How long should camera footage be kept?
Technically it depends on capacity, but the better question is how long after the fact damage claims reach you; retention should follow that reality. Footage is also personal data, so retention and access rights need limits for that reason too.
Can we get stock visibility across branches?
If your software supports it, yes. Our part is connecting the branches securely and fast enough, and sizing the central server for that load. If the software cannot do it, we say so upfront — infrastructure cannot make software do what it does not do.
We cannot keep up with calls in season. What helps?
We set up call queuing, routing and missed-call reporting on the IP PBX. The single most useful item is the missed-call list: once you can see who called and did not get through, someone calls back — otherwise that customer quietly goes elsewhere.
